Charlie Brooks successfully defends his National Doubles title

Saturday-Sunday, 8-9 April 2017

Playing with Will Ellison, Charlie Brooks won his fourth title in the National Doubles championships played at Alleyn’s School.

On the way to victory they beat Tim Hebblethwaite & Will Yates 15-0, 15-0 ; Adam George & Peter Hanton 15-2, 15-2 ; fourth seeds Ollie Arnold & Matt Shaw 15-4, 15-6 in the semi-final; and in the final Grant & Tristao 15-4, 15-13.

There was success also for CU’s players Ed Kay & Ben Beltrami, who made it to the semi-final. There they pushed the eventual runners-up, Dan Grant & Dan Tristao all the way, losing in the third game 15-11, 12-15, 9-15.
