Following on from his success in winning the National Singles title for a second time in December Ben Beltrami continued his winning ways with a double victory in the North of England Open at the Durham University courts in March. Ben won the Singles title for the second time, beating Dan Grant in the final, and then went on to win the Doubles with a familiar partner, Ollie  Arnold, for their third title together. Ben has also won the Doubles with two other partners, making it five so far.

At the Wood Cup, the National Club Knock-out competition, in March Charlie Brooks led the Old Paulines in their successful defence of the title. beating the IV from the Edward Alleyn Club. Andy Pringle captained the team from the Executioners.

And in April the season approached its final national and regional tournaments, with the National Doubles for the Cyriax Cup held at Alleyn’s School. There Ed Kay paired up with Dan Tristao to win his fifth title, the last four of them in consecutive years. Charlie Brooks, himself a multiple National Doubles champion, was runner-up with a new partner, Ollie Arnold. Charlie was also runner-up in the North West Open Doubles.

The months May to July will see a variety of championships: for Women, for Mixed Doubles and for certain age groups. There will be plenty of Cambridge involvement!
